About the role
As a key leadership position within Federation TAFE and Pathways portfolio you will lead the implementation of Federation University Pathways College ensuring the long-term growth, innovation, and impact of the Pathways portfolio. You will drive the development of inclusive, flexible education pathways (including enabling programs, TAFE programs, diplomas, and vocational degrees) aligned with national reforms and our vision to become Australia's first Co-operative University.
You will:
- provide strategic leadership as a member of the TAFE and Pathways Executive team;
- provide academic leadership in the design, coordination, and delivery of Pathways programs;
lead continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment practices across the University Pathways; - promote and contribute to research and scholarship; and
- lead accreditation and benchmarking processes for Pathways programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
About you
You will have experience in strategic and academic leadership in Pathways with ability to exercise independent judgment in leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Pathways programs, while contributing to strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and academic governance. You will also have experience in mentoring staff and contributing to research and scholarship.
You will possess:
- leadership experience, managing high performing teaching and learning teams;
- substantial University administrative experience with organisational and administrative abilities necessary for the leadership, coordination and administration of units, and other administrative duties;
- demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for pathways learning and teaching, and a distinguished teaching record;
- ability to represent the University at external partnerships and professional forums; and
- demonstrated commitment and ability to develop and implement student-centered approaches with a focus on student success.
