The Firm & The Role
Our client is a Top 20 corporate law firm and they are known for their exceptional legal services and their pragmatic & commercial approach. Client's rely on them their responsive, commercial approach. This firm acts for government departments and agencies, private and publicly listed companies, and small and large businesses in Australia and overseas. Industry sectors include rail, water, renewables, telecommunications.
This construction and infrastructure team is recognised for its commerciality, depth of knowledge and technical excellence. A position within the team offers the opportunity to learn from the best and work on head-line making transactions.
Due to growth, the transactional side of our client's construction team is looking for an experienced lawyer (with around 4 to 10 years pae) to assist in the structuring (and associated drafting) of major projects and deals. You will also provide advice on procurement options, financing, tender strategy, contract documentation and negotiation through to contract administration.
You will work closely with the partners, have high levels of client responsibility and work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
About You
In addition to having at least 4 years of experience in construction law, you will demonstrate the following qualities:
- Strong drafting and technical skills
- You will be driven and self-motivated to succeed
- Excellent document management skills
- First class client skills and interpersonal skills
- You must be ambitious with a desire to progress whilst maintaining a team player mindset so to build strong internal relationships.
- Be highly organised, have strong attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box
