Position Description

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to provide care for a our clients in the Hervey Bay area.

The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive support, including assistance with daily living, personal care, high-intensity care activities, communication, and engagement in educational and recreational activities. Our clients requires intensive support and training will be provided accordingly.

The ideal candidates will provide holistic support, focusing on both physical assistance and emotional well-being. The participant requires support throughout the week, with flexibility for occasional weekend assistance.

Location: Hervey Bay & Bundaberg, QLD

Training: Thorough training provided with support on hand

The role

You’ll join a dedicated team supporting clients with complex physical and cognitive needs in Hervey Bay. A typical week includes:

Personal & high-intensity care (manual handling, PEG feeds, hoisting)

Emotion-regulation and positive-behaviour supports

Community participation – beach walks, hydrotherapy, local events

Documentation and incident reporting in online platforms

Collaborative handovers with OTs, RNs and the Clinical Care Officer

Training is provided. Start dates are immediate once onboarding checks clear.

What you’ll bring

Cert III (or higher) in Disability / Individual Support or nursing/allied-health student equivalent

Current First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, QLD Blue Card, open driver’s licence & reliable vehicle

Experience with hoists and complex care — or a willingness to learn quickly

Tech confidence (shift notes & e-learning on mobile)

A calm, empathetic approach aligned with our “True Care” culture
