Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Automotive Technician with sales expertise to lead our Auto Clinic and Parts sales campaign. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles brought into our clinic, combined with the ability to promote and sell our auto services and quality parts. This is a Full Time position working Monday - Friday 8am to 5:00pm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical faults, and providing detailed diagnoses.
Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other mechanical parts.
Testing and adjusting mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning.
Replacing worn or defective parts and reassembling mechanical components.
Carrying out wheel alignments and balancing wheels.
Conducting vehicle inspections to comply with road safety regulations.
Must have high skills when using diagnostic equipment and tools to rectify issues and complete repairs
Advising workshop controller on sensory repairs
Must maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment and tools
Conducting vehicle inspections to comply with road safety regulations.
Promote Auto Clinic services and parts during customer interactions.
Advise customers on necessary repairs and parts to increase sales.
Success Profile
Proven experience as an automotive technician with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role
Sales experience, preferably in automotive parts or services.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to explain technical details clearly to customers.
Certificate III in Light and Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Experience with petrol and diesel motors and electrical skills preferred
Work Rights in Australia
Current Drivers Licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles and a clean driving record
Effective time management and attention to detail
Great housekeeping ethic
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
