The role

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Service Technician, to join our team at Headland Technology Pty Ltd in Rydalmere, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services for our state-of-the-art, Hanel and STOPA, automated storage solutions.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing on our automated storage and retrieval equipment

Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues, and implement effective solutions to restore systems to full functionality

Carry out installations, upgrades and modifications to Hanel and STOPA automated storage systems

Provide on-site and remote technical support to our customers, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and professional manner

Maintain detailed records of all service activities, spare parts usage and customer interactions

Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Mentor and train junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a service technician in the automation or engineering industry, specifically Hanel and STOPA

Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills, with a deep understanding of PLC and SCADA control systems

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and manuals

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field

Be prepared to travel throughout Australia, up to 30% of the year, to visit our customers

A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
