Your Opportunity
Engage with young people and their families from various cultural backgrounds who reside in Campbelltown and Liverpool with services that will prevent them from involvement in the Child protection system.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to referrals of young people and families to the service per year from internal and external support services in a timely manner.
- Engage and develop ongoing relationships with the intention of building trust and providing case management.
- Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into independence or other services including the support team.
- Participate in the collection and collation of service related information and lodge via Mission Australia's CRM system.
Position Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in youth work/community services or relevant related discipline.
- Significant knowledge and experience working with target group and related issues
- Demonstrated skills and experience in case management, delivering life skills workshops and family education/support workshops
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and in partnership with young people and families with low to medium support needs.
- Computer literacy in a Windows environment
- Current valid Driver's License
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
