Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.
We are seeking experienced and innovative individuals to join North Regional TAFE as a Lecturer Hospitality Commercial Cookery.
As the Lecturer Hospitality Commercial Cookery, you will be delivering training and assessment for Skillsets, SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality, SIT20421 Certificate II Cookery, SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and possibly SIT40422 Certificate IV in Hospitality or other related SIT Training Packages this includes both theory and practical learning activities.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for employment, you must have:
Significant relevant industry or lecturing experience (at least 5 years’ experience in SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
Relevant vocation qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed including:
SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality
SIT20421 Certificate II in Cookery
SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality
SIT40420 Certificate IV in Hospitality
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.
If you have experience delivering relevant and engaging training in a classroom and workplace settings to a diverse range of students, sound verbal and written communication skills, good administration skills including using Microsoft Office products and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team we want to hear from you!
