Join a growing practice as our lead accountant expanding our firm to the Queensland market and take ownership of your own portfolio of clients. We're seeking an experienced and motivated individual ready to step into a central role, providing end-to-end accounting and advisory services.

You will also have a junior accountant assisting you.

What You'll Be Doing:

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, SMEs, and trusts

Manage BAS, GST obligations, and ATO correspondence

Deliver clear, strategic business advisory and financial insights to clients

Collaborate with a friendly, high-performing team

Support clients using Xero, MYOB, and other cloud-based accounting platforms

Travel to interstate offices when required – must be comfortable with work-related travel with accommodation provided during busy periods

About You:

Minimum 2 years of experience in public practice accounting

Degree qualified in Accounting or a related field

Highly detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software

A self-starter who can manage client relationships with confidence and professionalism
