Full Stack Engineer - Education Technology

Position Overview

We're seeking a versatile Full Stack Engineer to join our mission of transforming education through thoughtful technology.

What about the role:

Develop and maintain responsive web applications using HTML5 and CSS3.

Build and enhance enterprise software solutions using typescript and next js

Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performing applications in cloud-native environments, specifically Azure

Ensure software quality through unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, source control management, and code reviews.

Utilise MySQL for database development and optimisation.

Apply software engineering best practices (e.g., SOLID principles, loose coupling/high cohesion, common design patterns) to drive high-quality development.

Advocate for and embed best practices in software engineering across the business.

Develop and maintain UI components

Manage source control and versioning using Git.

Work within an Agile development environment, using Asana.

What experience do I need:

2+ years in software development or a similar role.

Ability to work independently in an entirely remote environment

Strong understanding of enterprise architecture techniques, including message passing, work queuing, and event-driven architectures.

Experience developing responsive, cross-browser applications using React and TypeScript.

Automated unit testing in front end development (e.g. Jasmin, Karma, Mocha) highly regarded.

Exposure to automated integration testing with Selenium desirable.

Knowledge of Redis for caching and data storage optimisation
