ABID SERVICE is a young, dedicated delivery unit for ABI Interiors (c) who supplies Quality Kitchen and Bathroom Fixtures, providing the best customer experience with outstanding efficiency in collaboration with our Customer Service Team and Outbound Team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering Pallets and Loose Freight to our customers using a tail lift and electric pallet truck and mini loader (fork attachment) at multiple destinations within approx.100km of Melbourne CBD. You may also be a VIC ABID team leader who manages VIC ABID team and reports to the national supervisor, depending on skills and experiences.

Working Hours:

38 hours a week, typically 4-5 days a week; Monday – Friday, 5:30am – Finish of delivery, Flexible work arrangement.

Skills & Experience:

Australian open HR driver’s license (Manuals & Autos)

Forklift License (License to perform High Risk Work) preferred

Tailgate experience preferred

Multi Drop experience preferred

Excellent communication & customer service skills

Knowledge of Load Restraints

Experience of team leader/manager position preferred

Co-operate with your employer to ensure all safe work procedures

Observe and practise correct safe work methods

Immediately report any unhealthy and/or unsafe working conditions, hazards, equipment, or practices to your team leader/supervisor and make suggestions on improvements

Immediately report to your team leader/supervisor all injuries, illnesses, incidents and near misses - no matter how minor

Recording driver operator prestart maintenance records, risk assessments and fault reporting

A high level of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work unsupervised.

The ability to work productively in a team environment and foster good relationships with other team members.

Able to deliver a high-quality service to customers and understand and react responsively to customer and line lead expectations.
