About the role

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in our Dandenong South, VIC. This is a full-time role. As our Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks as part of our metal fabrication operations.

What you'll be doing

Carrying out welding tasks on a range of metal components and structures using MIG, TIG and other welding techniques

Interpreting technical drawings and following detailed instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality welding

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps

Performing routine equipment maintenance and safety checks to ensure optimal performance and a safe work environment

Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and achieve targets

Maintaining detailed records of work completed and materials used

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of welding standards and techniques

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in welding, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent

Demonstrated experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

Experience in hard face welding, machining, steam pipe work

Proficiency in MIG, TIG and other welding techniques

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to workplace health and safety
