Currently seeking an experienced and confident Welder / Supervisor to take on a leadership role for driving quality, performance support to our fabrication and leadership teams.

We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Welder / Supervisor to step into a key leadership role within our workshop. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, is committed to high-quality workmanship, and has the confidence to lead by example.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day workshop operations, driving quality and performance standards, and supporting our fabrication team and Production Manager. We’re looking for someone who can manage workflow efficiently, maintain a positive and productive team culture, and take pride in delivering precision-built stair components that meet our high standards.

This role requires a balance of technical skill and leadership capability, for someone who’s just as comfortable on the tools as they are mentoring others and making decisions that keep jobs on track.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide clear direction, leadership and support to our small fabrication team

Manage and coordinate daily job scheduling to meet production targets

Monitor and enforce quality assurance across all fabricated components

Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop in line with WH&S requirements

Perform high-quality MIG (mild steel) and MIG Pulse (aluminium) welding

Communicate with Leadership Team to identify resourcing, workflow, or efficiency improvements.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Trade-qualified welder/fabricator with extensive hands-on experience

Strong background in MIG welding, with MIG Pulse experience a bonus

Proven experience in a leading hand, supervisor, or senior trades role/s

High-level organisational and time management skills

Ability to read, interpret and work from technical drawings

Strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement

Confident communicator who can lead, mentor and collaborate effectively.
