Support Workers required to work across services; community access, supported independent living (includes sleepovers) and our community and centre based groups. Some level of personal care is involved in all support work roles. Our office and centre based groups are in Maroochydore with SIL's, community access, and community-based groups across the Sunshine Coast.

Support workers will be employed on a casual basis initially with a variety of hours and days. No ABN workers. Buddy shifts provided. Immediate start for;

SIL house located in Bli Bli

-experienced SIL support worker

-at least 28 hours per week

-predominately daytime shifts with some overnights (non-active)

-must be able to assist with all transfers

Award;

Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award - Level 2

$42-$43 weekdays (ordinary hours), more for evenings, Saturdays and Sundays (as per award). Above award sleepover rate.

We require support workers who have completed at least a certificate III in the industry and have completed placement hours.

We are looking for;

Previous experience working in disability, along with a relevant qualification.

The ability to provide purposeful supports with initiative.

Have a professional and positive attitude.

A skilled communicator both written and verbal, with the ability to follow instructions.

Full availability with a commitment and desire to long term employment with StriveAbility.

Suitable car for transporting participants.

A passion for supporting others, including participants with mental health and those requiring personal care.
