$63-$75 per hour + super

We are seeking an experienced APS6 Grants and Procurement Officer to support the delivery of an international development program. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of grants and procurement activities in alignment with Commonwealth frameworks and Agency objectives.

The Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and administering grants and procurement processes that support Australia's international development efforts. This includes drafting guidelines, conducting risk assessments, preparing procurement documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop Grants Opportunity Guidelines (GOGs), risk assessments, and supporting documentation in line with the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles (CGRPs).
  • Ensure alignment with DFAT’s programming objectives and Australia’s International Development Programming Guide.
  • Administer the full lifecycle of grants including assessment, establishment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Prepare and implement procurement plans in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
  • Draft procurement documentation including RFQs, RFTs, evaluation reports, and contracts.
  • Establish and manage contracts ensuring compliance with DFAT’s procurement and financial policies.
  • Provide technical advice on grants and procurement processes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to audits, reviews, and reporting requirements.

About You:

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience in grants and procurement. You demonstrate:

  • Experience developing GOGs and working within CGRPs and CPRs.
  • Ability to develop procurement plans and establish contracts aligned with DFAT standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in public administration, international development, or a related field.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
