Nurse Unit Manager Rehabilitation Ward

The Opportunity

Joining the team as a Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our Rehabilitation Ward

This role will see you:

• Be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources
• Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team
• Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes
• Assist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.

You’ll be joining a multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to ensuring our patients receive holistic individualised care.

Skills and Experience

You thrive on problem solving, fostering a positive and supportive culture, and providing dedicated and specialised advice to your team members.

You will also demonstrate:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in acute care environment
• Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience within a Rehabilitation environment
• Effective management of rostering processes and allocation of duties of both clinical and non-clinical staff
• Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
• Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes
• WHS responsibility and leadership in risk minimisation
• Ongoing activity analysis
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and experience in implementing sustainable change

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate of $64.56 + Superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. NSW- Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager Level 1

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
