About the role
Reporting to our Construction Manager - Electrical, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and completion of site-based electrical construction activities. Your focus will be ensuring all work is completed in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Day to day you will:
• Conduct inspections and signing off Inspection Test Plans
• Manage Equipment and Cabling
• Provide site leadership and coordination of all aspects of planning and scheduling works (including the coordination of external contractors)
• Liaise with client to provide timely updates and resolution of any issues
This role is based at Direk, however, approx. 60-80% of the year will be spent working away from Adelaide on project construction sites. The most common roster is 10:4 roster working 11hr days (over time at double time and travel allowances apply), but rosters will sometimes vary depending on the requirements of different projects.
About you
You will bring:
Extensive experience in heavy industrial/infrastructure electrical construction projects, including installation of High Voltage equipment and systems
Specific experience in the construction of substations and/or renewable projects is highly advantageous
Experience in supervisory and leadership roles
An Electrical Trade Certificate
Current SA Electrical Workers Licence (or ability to get one under mutual recognition)
Current South Australian Drivers Licence
