Location
Springwood, QLD (office-based 3 days/week, with 1 optional work-from-home day)
Employment Type
Permanent Part-Time (30 hours/week, Tuesday to Friday)
About
This junior-level role is ideal for someone who has spent at least a year in a hands-on NDIS support role — such as a disability support worker, peer worker, or allied health assistant — and is ready to grow. You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that values open communication, adaptability, and collaboration.
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re personable, solutions-focused, and confident navigating sensitive or complex conversations. The work is dynamic and fast-moving, so being organised, punctual, and quick to adapt will serve you well — especially when supporting participants in the community or over the phone.
The role is 30 paid hours per week, Tuesday to Friday (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break). You’ll be based in our Springwood office three days per week, with the option to work remotely one day. Face-to-face visits across Greater Brisbane are a regular part of the role.
Responsibilities
Support participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans
Coordinate services and connect participants with the right supports
Deliver recovery-oriented coaching using a strengths-based approach
Build strong, respectful relationships with participants and their networks
Handle complex or sensitive conversations with care and professionalism
Maintain timely and accurate case notes using internal systems
Engage in daily team check-ins, regular supervision, and ongoing training
Contribute to a positive, person-led, trauma-informed service culture
Requirements
Minimum 12 months’ experience in NDIS support work (e.g. support worker, peer worker, LAC, or assistant SC/PRC)
Certificate IV or higher (or working toward) in Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field
Confident, compassionate communicator – both written and verbal
Comfortable navigating sensitive conversations with care and clarity
Highly personable, solutions-focused, and emotionally intelligent
Able to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities calmly
Reliable, punctual, and responsive – especially when supporting participants in the community
Open-minded, team-oriented, and proactive in contributing to a close-knit team culture
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential for face-to-face support)
What We Offer
Structured 30-hour work week across Tuesday to Friday
Friendly, supportive environment at our Springwood office
One flexible work-from-home day per week
Daily admin support to reduce paperwork load, phone assistance, email management
Mentoring, professional development, and regular supervision
