About the role

Podmore's Building Supplies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk / Accounts Officer to join our team based in Margaret River. This part-time role will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our business. This position is available for immediate start and can be offered as full-time for applicants seeking additional duties.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements.

Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.

Performing payment reconciliations in Xero.

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all documentation is properly filed.

Assistance in payroll preparation.

Processing customer and supplier credit applications.

Debtor Management.

Supporting the broader team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or Accounts Officer, preferably in a similar industry.

Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications in accounting or related field would be highly regarded.
