EXPERIENCED FIELD SERVICE DIESEL MECHANIC POSITION AVAILABLE

Lantrak is looking for an experienced Field Service Diesel Mechanic with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment to join our team, based across our sites in West Melbourne.

We want someone who takes pride in their work, ensuring that every piece of machinery is thoroughly inspected, maintained, and ready for operation. Reporting to our Fleet Manager, this role will be responsible for performing scheduled servicing and repairs on Lantrak’s fleet of earthmoving machinery and other mobile plant equipment. We value someone who proactively performs preventative maintenance and is willing to assist wherever needed.

Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform routine servicing on mobile plant machinery and heavy diesel machinery, identifying potential issues and recommending necessary repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Repairs and Diagnosis: Workshop and onsite technical troubleshooting and fault finding, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on earthmoving equipment and their components: hydraulics, transmissions, and engines.
• Pre-Delivery Checks: Complete pre-delivery inspections on new plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Process Improvement: Offer feedback on systems and processes to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
• Reporting: Report on equipment repairs and maintenance activities using Lantrak’s fleet management program. Compiling and completing accurate activity and inspection reports
• Communication: Liaising with our internal fleet/mechanic department

About You:

• Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience
• Experience working on earthmoving equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Strong focus on safety and quality
