The Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and reliable Equipment Maintenance Support to join our QLD team. If you’re a hands-on individual with a positive “can-do” attitude who enjoys mechanical work and thrives in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, service, and repair traffic management equipment, including Variable Message Sign (VMS) trailers, light towers, Variable Speed Limit Signs (VSLS), and barriers, ensuring all units are safe, reliable, and client-ready.

Perform quality checks and cleaning on hire equipment to ensure it’s fully tested and ready for dispatch and return.

Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical faults under supervision.

Assist with assembly and modification of new equipment for deployment to clients.

Organise and maintain the workshop, including tool storage and spare parts inventory checks.

Load and unload equipment safely from vehicles and trucks.

Perform general labouring duties with adherence to safe manual handling practices.

Complete pre-start inspections and final checks at drop-offs and pick-ups.

Identify and mitigate workplace hazards, always upholding RPM’s safety-first approach.

Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and efficient problem-solving.

Be open to occasional interstate travel (NSW, QLD, SA, WA) for ad-hoc servicing support.

What You Will Bring

Proven commitment to safe work practices.

Valid car licence (required); towing experience is valued but not essential—full training provided.

Mechanical experience or trade background is highly valued.

Team leadership or mentoring experience (preferred but not essential).

Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
