The Position:

This is an incredible opportunity to work as an Paediatric Registrar at one of Victoria’s busiest emergency departments.

The role will be working as part of a traditional firm of doctors, including consultants, other registrars, medical officers and commonly interns too. The hospital nurtures your career and offers many training opportunities and career progression. In addition, the role will be required to work in the Children’s ward, SCN, WHU & ED, also attending deliveries and theatre when required.

Located less than 40 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, allowing you the best of both worlds. Residents can easily commute to Melbourne for work, education, or entertainment purposes while enjoying a slightly more relaxed suburban atmosphere amongst beautiful beaches and waterfront areas.

The Facility:

This 700-bed health service is the major healthcare provider of acute, secondary, and tertiary hospital services and services the metropolitan and rural areas in the region. It provides general and specialty medical and surgical services, emergency and intensive care, aged care, rehabilitation, oncology, mental health, maternity, paediatric services, and Hospital in the Home (HITH)

In its role as a major teaching centre, the hospital has affiliations with Monash University and Deakin University and links with other universities in postgraduate studies.

Eligibility:

1. General, Provisional or limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain
2. IMG’s eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)
3. IMG’s assessed by RACP College as partially or substantially comparable (doctors currently interviewing with RACP may express their interest)
4. Have experience working as Paediatric Registrar
