As we continue to grow and improve, we are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our supportive and driven Pilbara Region Team.
About the Role
The Pilbara Region is a large region looking after some 3000 kilometres of road network with offices and depots located in six (6) different locations.
We are seeking a passionate and driven safety leader for our Safety Manager role in the Pilbara Region, based in South Hedland. Not only will you manage your direct team, you’ll play a vital role in guiding and influencing the wider regional workforce to prioritise safety, health and wellbeing. Your leadership will help foster a culture of care and accountability, while driving innovative and practical improvements to our safety processes and practices.
About You
To be successful you will be:
experienced in managing all aspects of work health, safety and wellbeing in a large organisation with a multidisciplinary workforce in line with Work Health and Safety legislative requirements.
experienced in providing leadership in the implementation and improvement of workplace safety culture, processes and practices and report on regional safety performance.
a problem solver with strong attention to detail.
a strong communicator with an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will need to be able to travel and spend overnight stays to interact with the wider team, sometimes at short notice to undertake investigations and on occasion it may require weekend work.

We offer an attractive salary, commuted overtime, district allowance and 12% superannuation. You have the choice to work a 37.5 or 40-hour week, and the option to work an extra 5 hours commuted overtime weekly.
Your salary package if you choose to work 45 hours per week, dependent on experience, is between $157,000 - $183,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
In addition, the following regional initiatives/benefits are on offer:
Travel concession of 3.5% or an additional 5 days annual leave and travel days – earned per year for your time in the region.
Relocation support includes access to heavily subsidized housing for those moving to the Pilbara—an exclusive benefit not available to current local residents together with a generous relocation benefit.
