· Fixed-term, full time parental leave replacement opportunity until 5 June 2026. The temporary role can be offered as a fixed – term appointment (external applicants) or as a secondment opportunity (UNE Current Staff).
· $ 87,051 to $ 95,685 per annum (HEO6)
· Plus 17% employer superannuation
· Salary packaging options are available
· 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
· 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
· 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum

About the role
The Scheduling Coordinator holds a critical position in a small team responsible for organising the day-to-day operational activities associated with the production, publishing and maintenance of the University academic timetable. The role will also provide high-level system support, database management, system monitoring and the development and ongoing maintenance of systems, processes and projects.
Other responsibilities will involve monitoring data integrity, system imports, reporting and resolving issues to ensure strict deadlines are met; building timetables for all teaching modes (on campus and/or online) based on course plans, staff availability and teaching space requirements; working with various stakeholders to appropriately assign resources and coordinate allocations of both staff and students, reporting and monitoring availability of teaching activities using relevant software applications. The position reports to the Scheduling Manager and operates under their general direction. On-the-job training will be provided.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to use critical thinking skills to problem solve. Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment and build positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge and understanding of higher education management systems and processes including competence using SRM, Callista and Excel.

The Estate and Built Environment (EBE) Directorate is responsible for buildings/infrastructure, grounds and facility services across the UNE properties and is part of the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio.

This position is a parental leave replacement and the appointment is subject to the staff member’s leave arrangements. Should the staff member on parental leave vary their return to work arrangements, this contract may be terminated earlier by giving four weeks’ notice.
Current UNE Staff: In taking up this appointment, the appointee will need to seek approval from the Head of Cost Centre to be released from their substantive position for the duration of the secondment.
