Rise & Shine Kindergarten, Maroochy River 2, has an opportunity for an experienced Child Care Centre Cook to join our team on a casual basis.

Temporary full-time shifts available from 18 Aug - 3 Sep from 6:30am - 2:30pm.

Our meal-time practice is centred around social development with Alfresco dining shared for Educators and Children, strengthening a family-like environment where children flourish.

Focus on food prep, remain hygienic, AND hold great conversation with your team?

Work well to the sound of little voices squealing with delight as our Educators entertain in the outdoor play space?

Create tasty meals and snacks that everyone loves? Meal Plans will be provided !

The successful applicant must have:

Recognised qualification in Cookery/Hospitality/Chef

Current Food Handling Certificate

Current Food Supervisor Certificate

Current Blue Card (or be eligible to apply for one)

Knowledge of safe hygiene practices

Experience working as a cook in a childcare Centre will be highly regarded

Duties will include:

Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment

Attention to food costs including limiting waste and managing stock

Flexible to cater to a variety of dietary needs/ allergies

Preparation of nutritious meals that meet guidelines, and taste good.
