About Client

We are seeking experienced skilled qualified Formwork carpenters with experience in form work in precast yard.

Qualified applicants will be given the opportunity to work alongside other trades in building. Precast yard working off site within a warehouse in Melbourne's Western suburbs. Successful applicants can be given the opportunity for immediate starts with excellent hourly rates. BDK is looking for suitable candidates that are reliable, hardworking, flexible, and looking for long term work on going!

Applicants will be invited to on-site interview for in-depth information about the positions and to assess the candidates' experience and skills.

To excel in this production role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Candidates who meet the required criteria will be scheduled for an induction and a paid trial day in the precast yard.

Proven experience and expertise as a Formwork Carpenter.

Reading blueprints and interpreting designs to construct wooden forms that shape concrete into beams, columns, and walls.

Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials such as timber and plywood to the required sizes.

Ensuring structural integrity and safety of the forms during the concrete pouring process.

Collaborating with other construction workers to ensure timely project completion.
This role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of construction safety practices.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example.

Demonstrated capability to work unsupervised and produce work to a high standard.

Strong safety awareness and commitment to adhering to safety protocols.

Physical fitness and health to perform the job.

A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for transportation to client site.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembling Molds and installing fittings

Reading and interpreting shop drawings

Complying with QA requirements

Detail earthworks and cast-in installations

Constructing formwork for slabs, columns, and support structures

Collaborating on slab layout and preparation
