About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and passionate Safety Officer to join our Human Resources team in Archerfield, QLD. This full-time role is vital to upholding and advancing our commitment to a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. You'll collaborate with operations, HR, and senior leaders to enhance workplace safety, manage return-to-work programs, and foster employee wellbeing.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement WHS policies, procedures, and compliance strategies.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and lead incident investigations.
• Coordinate return-to-work plans, liaising with medical professionals and insurers.
• Support and implement wellbeing initiatives, including mental health and fitness programs.
• Report on safety performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Bring

• A genuine passion for safety and wellbeing and engaging hearts and minds.
• At least 2 years' safety-related experience in a blue-collar industry.
• Strong grasp of WHS laws, investigation techniques, and risk assessment.
• Confident communicator with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems.
• Desirable - Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (or equivalent).
