The Opportunity

Our client is a leading consumer goods business, backed by a well-renowned private-equity firm. They have undergone a strong period of growth and have successfully expanded to all the major states in Australia, growing both organically and through acquisitions.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Audit/Business Services first mover, or industry Accountant, looking to join a leading high-growth PE portfolio company.

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
• Support the finance team in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate financial data and analysis
• Assist with internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, FBT, and other statutory filings
• Assist in year-end tax calculations and liaise with external auditors
• Identify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified, or studying towards
• 3+ years of experience within Audit, Business Services, or a comparable Accountant role
• It is preferable that you have prior experience in FMCG
• You will have a strong interpersonal skill-set and able to meet tight deadlines
