Cellar Hand

Barossa Vintners is a Contract Winemaking Facility on the southern edge of Tanunda in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. We have a casual position as a Cellar Hand available with potential for full-time offer.

Our Cellar Hands contribute to the production of high-quality wines for bottling by undertaking the various day to day cellar operations in a safe and efficient manner. The position will be for 38 hours per week Mon-Fri outside of the vintage period with weekend work and overtime offered during the vintage period (February to May).

Duties include but not limited to:

General cellar cleaning and sanitising of tanks, pumps and lines.

Support wine preparation tasks; including transfers of product, racking, heating, chilling, additions and filtration.

Keeping accurate records of cellar activities conducted.

During the Vintage period (Feb-May) tasks extend to:

Ferment management

Red pump-overs

We are looking for someone

with great work ethic and attention to detail.

willing to work flexible hours during vintage season.

willing to learn and able to follow standardised work processes accurately.

who is a positive team player who gets on well with others.

While not essential, having a current forklift and scissor lift licence or previous experience in a winery will be an advantage.
