About the role
We are a commercial office fit-out company – a dynamic start-up organisation growing fast!
We are looking for a contemporary, client-focused interior designer, either fresh out of university or early in their career, to join our team.
If you have a knack for creating detailed floor plans, producing high-quality 3D renders, and preparing finishes schedules – all while ensuring client satisfaction at every step – we want you on our team!
You will work directly with clients, understanding their needs, presenting ideas, and guiding them through the design process. Your role will also involve collaborating with project managers and contractors to ensure a seamless transition from design to execution.
What you’ll be doing
Producing detailed technical drawings, 3D visualisations, and design presentations
Selecting appropriate furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials to bring the design vision to life
Creating detailed design concepts, plans, and specifications for office interior spaces
Collaborating closely with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements, and following through to win opportunities
Conducting on-site measurements
Monitoring projects throughout the construction phase to ensure design integrity
Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects
Working closely with draftspersons and architects to ensure plans are compliant
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in interior design
Participating in site walkthroughs to ensure design consistency and finalisation
What we’re looking for
Qualified Interior Designer with a desire to work in commercial office fit-outs (corporate offices, co-working spaces, etc.)
Competency in Revit (or similar), 3D modelling, and design software is essential
Submission of your portfolio showcasing your competency, including but not limited to floor plans, renders, and finishes schedules
Ability to make decisive design choices that balance aesthetics, functionality, and budget
Capability in finishes selection and specification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and influence
High attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Up-to-date knowledge of interior design trends, materials, and building regulations
Own vehicle and willingness to attend various site locations for client meetings and site measurements
This is a full-time position.
If you do not meet all of the above requirements but believe you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-profile projects, with access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
Apply now to join our dynamic team and take the next step in your interior design career.
All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter, and we will require a portfolio of your work to fully consider your application.
