Take ownership of lighting design for Melbourne’s most premium new homes.

ProGlow Electrics is expanding its design team. We're seeking a Senior Lighting Designer to lead lighting strategy and specification across our high-end residential projects. This is a client-facing, design-led role — not a “retail sales" or “provision-only” job.

You’ll work alongside our Electrical Consultant but take full ownership of the lighting journey — from client brief through to concept, specification, and plan markup. Your goal is simple: help our clients achieve architectural lighting outcomes that elevate their homes beyond the standard.

We want lighting to become one of our most valuable offerings — both in client experience and builder value.

What You'll Do:

· Run in-person lighting consultations with new-home clients at our Burwood showroom

· Interpret client style, finishes, and design directions to produce tailored lighting schemes

· Create layered lighting plans and product proposals that suit each space

· Use DIALux or equivalent software to validate your designs

· Guide clients through functional and decorative selections — from architectural trims to feature pieces

· Specify fittings that are both technically sound and visually resolved

· Collaborate with our consultant to integrate lighting into the full home electrical scope

What You Bring:

· 3+ years in lighting design, architectural interiors, or lighting consultancy

· Formal training in lighting, design, or a related field

· Strong technical knowledge — colour temperature, beam spread, glare control, etc.

· Proficiency in DIALux or other lighting design software

· A genuine passion for interior aesthetics and how lighting transforms space

· Ability to lead clients through options and justify design intent

· High attention to detail and a professional, confident manner

The Role:

· Full-time role based at our Burwood design studio

· Salary is negotiable based on experience

· Immediate start available — but we’ll wait for the right fit
