GenesisCare is now looking for an enthusiastic payroll officer to join a supportive and close-knit team. As a Payroll Officer, you are responsible for accurately processing the fortnightly or monthly pay run while ensuring that all processes are performed in line with company and statutory policies.

On offer is full time role, on a maximum term contract through to August 2026.

More Specifically you will:

• Process fortnightly pay run for around 1500 employees accurately and on time.
• Complete pre payroll process checks and following up with P&C Ops for missing new starter data.
• Complete Leave Reconciliations as needed.
• Paid Parental Leave (GC and Government PPL).
• GC Purchased Leave Program.
• Maintain employee records - emails saved on employee files for auditing purposes.
• Set up and monitor novated lease deductions. Provide payment confirmation reports to third parties (eg FleetPlus, SPA and Autopia).
• Calculate pay adjustments for monthly pay run.
• Process of EFT file for payment to employees.
• Calculate and prepare manual payments, including termination, adjustments and redundancy pays where necessary.
• Ensure correct reconciliation and payment of all deductions and Superannuation payments.
• Have a sound understanding of Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Answer phone queries from staff and management.
• Monitor and respond in a timely manner to Payroll Emails, Cherwell and Workday Inbox for employee queries.
• Support the Timesheet Admin Users with ESS access and queries.
• Other duties or projects as directed by the Assistant Payroll Manager.
• Communicate with appropriate managers where an issues may become problematic.

We're interested in hearing form people who have:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated working knowledge of ADP Global View or SAP Payroll systems.
• Experience with large payrolls
• Capable of handling high level of pressure while continuing to perform duties accurately
• Capacity to be diplomatic and helpful when answering telephone queries
• Accurate manual calculation of employees pays (if necessary) annual leave, long service leave reconciliations and terminations is essential.
• Able to adapt to a changing environment
