Skilled Trades Crew (Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters, Belt Splicers & Trade Assistants)
Location: Port Pirie, South Australia
Roster: 2/2 (2 weeks on, 1 week off)
Contract Duration: Ongoing (with potential for shutdown work)
Positions Available: Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters, Belt Splicers, and Trade Assistants

We are seeking a skilled and motivated crew to join our team in Port Pirie for ongoing projects and maintenance work. We have openings for Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters, Belt Splicers, and Trade Assistants to work on a 2/2 roster with the opportunity to rotate through shutdown work, ensuring a variety of tasks and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and shutdown work on industrial equipment, boilers, and mechanical systems

Assist with installation, repairs, and maintenance of conveyor systems, boilers, and heavy machinery

Support senior tradespeople by providing hands-on assistance in mechanical and structural work

Ensure that all tasks are carried out in line with safety standards and procedures

Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality results

Essential Requirements:

Boilermakers & Mechanical Fitters: Trade qualification in Boilermaking or Mechanical Fitting

Belt Splicers: Experience in conveyor belt maintenance and splicing

Trade Assistants: Experience in supporting mechanical or industrial trades, with the ability to assist in a variety of tasks

Experience in industrial, mining, or shutdown work is highly desirable

A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from experienced tradespeople

Flexibility to rotate between ongoing maintenance and shutdown work as required
