The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and commercially savvy Financial Manager to join our senior team. In this newly elevated role, you’ll shape and steer our financial strategy as we scale, innovate, and strengthen our brand presence.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll lead a small but talented finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management, from day-to-day operations to big-picture strategic planning. Your insights will guide key business decisions and support our mission to deliver exceptional value to pets and their families.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Leadership: Provide forward-thinking financial guidance to support growth, innovation, and profitability.

Operational Oversight: Manage all finance functions including AP/AR, payroll, cash flow, and compliance.

Performance Analysis: Deliver clear, insightful reporting and financial commentary to the MD and board.

Team Development: Lead, mentor, and empower your finance team to excel and grow.

Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements and implement scalable, efficient systems.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external advisors, auditors, and partners to safeguard financial health.

What You’ll Bring

CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally in FMCG, retail, or product-led environments.

Expertise in managing BOM/COGS and high SKU product structures.

Advanced skills in accounting systems (e.g., MYOB Advanced, Xero, Unleashed) and Excel.

Strong commercial acumen with an analytical, hands-on approach.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
