About the role

Embrace a role where you can shape and drive the future of the Kimberley Juvenile Justice Strategy (KJJS). This new position offers a unique chance to influence policy, planning and program development, making a lasting impact on the community.

The Principal Policy Officer will be part of the KJJS team, and will be responsible for leading, coordinating and monitoring initiatives and projects.

As part of the Aboriginal Justice Transformation Directorate, the position will utilise co-design approaches and develop local strategic partnerships to address the overrepresentation of Aboriginal young people in the justice system.

Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities to contribute to strategic reform initiatives will be key to success in this role. You will be a strong and effective communicator who is persuasive and effective, achieving outcomes that benefit all.

Intermittent intrastate travel is a requirement of this role.
