Company Overview:

My client is a leading financial services firm who are committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to their customers. With a strong focus on retail banking products, this is a multi-year program of work driven by internal uplift requirements and aligned to evolving legislative changes.

You will play a pivotal leadership role as the Senior Project Manager, designing and delivering a comprehensive roadmap across financial crime, AML and compliance. You’ll be managing a multidisciplinary delivery team and ensuring alignment with mandated regulatory timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex projects related to Financial crime and AML..
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, analysts, developers, and stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and within-scope delivery of projects.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with technology teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of technology solutions in alignment with project objectives.
• Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices in project management methodologies within the team.
• Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members to build a high-performing project management team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (PMP, CFA) are a plus.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on financial markets, derivatives exchange trading, and large technology programs.
• Strong understanding of AML, Financial Crime and risk projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Experience working on large technology programs, including vendors, system integrations, software implementations, and technology transformations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
