We are seeking two experienced ILS professionals to support major Defence-related programs. These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical capabilities through acquisition and sustainment activities in a complex and rewarding environment.
About the Roles
Both positions are embedded within Defence acquisition and sustainment frameworks and require professionals with strong knowledge of CASG processes and Defence logistics systems. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams and industry partners to ensure logistics outcomes are delivered effectively and in line with policy and operational requirements.
Role 1: ILS Manager (Acquisition Focus)
Contract Duration: Until 20 December 2025
Security Clearance: NV1 required
Location: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver ILS services across the capability lifecycle, with a focus on acquisition and transition.
Develop and maintain ILS documentation, including strategies, plans, and technical instructions.
Evaluate and manage logistics support analysis and contractor deliverables.
Provide expert input into technical and management reviews.
Support Defence logistics systems including inventory transactions and codification.
Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate support system elements and manage risk.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Defence or a related industry.
Strong understanding of CASG and the Defence Capability Lifecycle.
Familiarity with Defence logistics systems, tools, and acquisition processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Role 2: ILS Inventory Manager (Sustainment Focus)
Contract Duration: 29 months
Security Clearance: NV1 required
Location: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Provide SME support across inventory and supply chain functions.
Manage unit entitlements, SCAs, BOMs, CES, and asset data updates.
Support capability transition and sustainment planning.
Develop and update ILS plans, obsolescence strategies, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with Defence stakeholders and industry partners to ensure compliance with logistics policy.
Apply risk-based planning and support rollout of capability enhancements.
Essential Criteria:
AQF Level 6 qualification or 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with MILIS, SAP/ERP systems, and Defence logistics frameworks.
Knowledge of DEFLOGMAN, ESCM, CPRs, and DPPM.
Strong communication and team coordination skills.
Highly Desirable:
Experience in inventory control, codification, and asset assurance.
Familiarity with Defence sustainment and transition processes.
Understanding of cryptographic equipment handling and export control compliance.
