The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will become part of a high performing full function Credit team. You will be responsible for the collection of overdue accounts via outbound collection calls to trade customers. The role will be comprised of;

Duties

• Invoicing/Receipting
• Managing large number of accounts
• Creating new accounts
• Ascertaining credit viability of customers
• Collections
• Managing large ledger
• Banking/allocations
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit queries
• Stop supply
• Weekly credit reporting to management
• Raising credit notes/returns
• Liaising with other departments re credit claims
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Skills & experience

The successful candidate will have a proven collections ability and maintain a minimum of 5+ years in a full function Credit Control position, preferably within the trade/wholesaling industries. However, applicants with a proven business to business collections ability from other industries are also encouraged to apply.

You will maintain excellent verbal/written communications skills and be a proven self-starter with a natural ability to build relationships internally (sales teams) and externally. You will also be resilient and able to multitask and manage a high-volume workload A key component of this role will be raising the profile of the credit team within the business.
