Full-Time Permanent Opportunity – Distribution & Warehouse Operative – Wangara
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Distribution & Warehouse Operative in Wangara. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in distribution, storage, and warehouse operations and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about warehousing, distribution, and supply chain operations, with a strong focus on process improvement and inventory optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispatch of retail consumable products to customers and distribution points
- Safely handle, move, and store goods using manual handling equipment and safe work practices
- Deliver excellent service to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a positive customer experience
- Accurately complete warehouse documentation and update inventory records using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems
- Perform daily equipment and safety checks, reporting any faults or hazards promptly
- Manage the return and processing of damaged or faulty goods as required
- Support warehouse operations with picking, packing, stock replenishment, and order dispatch activities
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in a similar distribution centre, warehouse or logistics operative role
- Must have PR or Australian Citizen or bridging visa for PR lodged
- Understanding of warehouse inventory systems and inventory best practices
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with WHS processes, regulations and quality assurance in warehouse environments
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to supply chain excellence
- Forklift License & experience
- Basic PC Skills including MS Office- Word & Excel
- Physically fit and capable to perform required tasks safely and effectively
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Active involvement in sports, particularly team sports like Rugby or AFL, showing teamwork and leadership qualities
- Previous experience in a Distribution Centre with Retail and FMCG Fast Moving Consumable Goods
- Knowledge and experience with warehouse and transport management and inventory systems
- Previous military, security services, or voluntary service experience, bringing transferable skills such as discipline, problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership
