About the role

As a Senior Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in coordinating clinic resources to ensure the smooth operation of a Statewide Dental Services clinic. You will lead and support a team of dental assistants and receptionists, contributing to their skill development and ensuring high standards of care and service delivery across the district. Your focus will be on maintaining efficient workflows while meeting organisational requirements for infection control, sterilisation, clinic administration, and client fee management.

In this hands-on role, you will also provide chairside assistance to dental practitioners, supporting the delivery of quality dental care to the community. Your leadership and organisational skills will be critical in fostering a positive team culture and ensuring the clinic meets its service objectives in a professional and patient-focused environment.

To excel as a Senior Dental Assistant, you will bring strong technical expertise, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key requirements:

Teamwork and Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team and build positive, professional relationships.

Organisation and Problem Solving: Strong skills in setting priorities, managing workloads, and resolving issues efficiently.

Clinical and Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated experience providing chairside assistance and delivering a high level of customer service.

Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of dental terminology, equipment, procedures, and contemporary infection control and sterilisation practices.
