Opportunity for an immediately available Group Accountant to join a purpose driven enterprise on a 8 Month Fixed term Contract, with the view to transition to permanent. Hybrid working located in Melbourne CBD.

Client Details

You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making across a purpose driven organisation with multiple entities.

Description

• Lead the monthly group reporting cycle and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations, inventory, and fixed asset records.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements, tax filings, and audits.
• Drive process improvements and ERP system enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen financial governance and performance.
• Identify risks and opportunities to enhance profitability and internal controls.

Profile

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting, ideally in a group or multi-entity environment.
• Strong technical knowledge in financial reporting, compliance, year end and internal controls.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or Accurriis a plus.
