Join VoltEdge: Commence as our Electrician and become a Qualified Electrical Trainer

This Full-time (or Part-time Available) position offers a rare and rewarding opportunity to start as a hands-on electrician within our organisation, with a clear pathway to become a qualified trade trainer over the next 12 to 24 months.

About the Role – Stage 1: Electrician + +

In this initial stage, you’ll be part of the VoltEdge technical team and will contribute to the practical aspects of our training operations. Your responsibilities will include:

General electrical work and handyman tasks.

Supporting the practical setup, testing, maintenance, and optimisation of training systems, rigs, and simulation boards.

Assisting in workshop preparation and learner practical sessions, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery.

Providing technical insights and on-the-ground trade knowledge to enhance training resources and program design.

Participating in internal upskilling, shadowing experienced trainers, and assisting in supervised sessions as you develop readiness for Stage 2.

About the Role – Stage 2: Transition to Training

Once you’re ready, you’ll transition into formal training and assessment, with full mentorship and support from our experienced team. Key responsibilities include:

Completing your TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (fully supported by VoltEdge).

Delivering accredited electrical training across areas such as HV Switching, Solar Battery Systems, QTP/QBP, and EEHA (depending on your experience).

Leading your own classroom and practical sessions, supported by a collaborative team of passionate educators.

What You’ll Bring

Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic).

15+ years of experience across residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work.

A passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and leading by example.

A strong commitment to safety and familiarity with industry regulations.

A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to grow into a training role.
