About the Role

As a Service Designer, you’ll lead research and design initiatives that improve end-to-end participant and staff experiences. Working closely with stakeholders and utilising tools like Figma, you’ll champion user-centred design to influence policy outcomes and transform public service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyse qualitative and quantitative user research
• Create service documentation highlighting current and future states
• Facilitate design-thinking sessions to ideate and test solutions
• Prototype and present concepts using tools such as Figma
• Promote inclusive design by advocating for diverse user needs
• Ensure consistency across service touchpoints and experiences

Skills & Experience

• Skilled in user research with diverse and vulnerable populations
• Strong communication skills to influence and collaborate effectively
• Experience creating prototypes, mock-ups, and service blueprints
• Familiarity with design thinking and iterative design processes
• Ability to solve complex service design problems in public contexts
• Understanding of agile and lean methods in service transformation

Australian Citizenship & ability to obtain Baseline security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
