Remuneration: $34.46 - $35.54 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
As an Intake Officer, you’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, carers and health professionals accessing our community health services. You’ll gather essential referral information, determine eligibility for services, and ensure accurate, timely input to support clinicians in providing the right care at the right time.
- Provide timely, professional, client-focused service and referral support.
- Manage demographic and clinical information with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Utilise Microsoft Office, iPM, CERNER, My Aged Care, and internal systems for seamless data entry and workflow.
- Proactively maintain updated knowledge of referral pathways and community services.
- Contribute to a supportive team culture, working across a 7-day rotating roster.

Selection Criteria:
- High level computer knowledge in data bases or Health information systems such as: iPM, CERNER, and Microsoft Word & Excel applications.
- Effective customer service and communication skills in verbal, written and interpersonal to develop and maintain relationships with client, team and clinicians.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail & demonstrated capacity to work with minimal supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks and problem solve with limited direction.
- Demonstrated experience in referral pathways, person-centred care and patient privacy.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Commitment to Quality improvement and WH&S responsibilities.
- Completion of a medical terminology course or equivalent experience in a health-related setting is desirable.
- Current NSW driver’s license.
