This Role:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter / Process Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, working as part of a team, and ensuring our high machine utilisation is maintained.
Primary Duties:
Ensure all relevant plant is appropriately serviced, maintained, managed and operated as per relevant maintenance manuals
Maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts and communicate inventory needs
Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant machinery
Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime
Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations
Assisting with new product/material trials
Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
Be involved with new tooling and test parts production
Basic mould repairs
Training of process workers on basic functioning of equipment
Your Background:
Trade qualified in mechanical fitting or other relevant field (polyurethane/plastic manufacturing an advantage)
Current industry experience conducting routine and breakdown maintenance
Experience with installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment
Experience with site shutdown
Experience with PLC and pneumatics will be an advantage
Ability to read technical drawings and rebuild spare parts
Excellent communication skills
Forklift License preferable
Welding certificates (MMAW and GTAW) an advantage
