About the Role:
As an Account Manager, you will help drive new business growth while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships. This role is perfect for a motivated, relationship-focused professional with a strong background in sales and account management.
You’ll be responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle - from prospecting and demos to tender writing and closing - while ensuring clients receive exceptional ongoing service and support. Your ability to build rapport, follow structured sales processes, and identify upsell opportunities will help us accelerate growth and deepen client partnerships.
The key responsibilities:
- Lead new business development, including prospecting, delivering product demos, and writing compelling tender submissions;
- Manage and grow client accounts, identifying and driving internal upsell and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with product and delivery teams;
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle;
- Maintain and forecast the sales pipeline accurately, ensuring timely follow-up and progression of opportunities;
- Drive marketing to support lead generation and sales campaigns;
- Develop and maintain high-quality sales collateral, demo materials, and customer success resources;
- Monitor client satisfaction, proactively addressing risks and identifying opportunities to enhance retention and account value;
- Lead customer success activities such as onboarding, training, and ongoing client engagement;
- Continuously improve sales and customer success processes to support scalability and efficiency;
- Contribute to a collaborative, positive team culture, where initiative, shared ownership, and quality outcomes are celebrated and rewarded!
About You:
- Proven track record in sales and account management, preferably in government or SaaS sectors (but not mandatory);
- Experience writing tenders and proposals that win business;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, engaging product demonstrations;
- Strong organisational skills and a process-driven approach to managing full sales cycles and account growth;
- Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with diverse client stakeholders;
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tools (e.g. HubSpot) is an advantage.
Selection Criteria:
- Proven success in SaaS business development, sales, and/or account management, including tender writing;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Customer-first mindset with a passion for building long-term client relationships;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities;
- An ability to remain flexible and a desire to change from the corporate grind to actually enjoy your work and life;
- NV1 Australian Security Clearance (minimum) – ideally you already have this but if not, you must be able to obtain it;
