About Us

Aged Care Rehabilitation Services is a Perth based provider of allied health services to the community and residential aged care facilities across the metropolitan area.

With a team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Dietitian, and Speech Pathologists while working in a Multi-disciplinary team environment, we are dedicated in improving the provision of allied health services to residents living in aged care homes and in-home clients within the community.

We provide services to residential aged care facilities within WA and In Home Community/NDIS/STRC and Home care package clients within Perth metro areas making us one of the largest boutique allied health providers within Western Australia specifically tailored towards high quality rehabilitation treatments for the Geriatric Population.

About the role

We are currently seeking dedicated Full time or Casual Occupational Therapist throughout Perth metropolitan areas (North & South of river) who intent to make a real difference in the lives of the elderly.

South of River Areas including Armadale, Rockingham, Gosnells and Bentley.

North of River Areas including Morley, Karrinyup and North Perth.

This role is designed to focus towards OT based assessments and therapy care plans, Wellness & Evidence Based restorative treatments with wider clinical scope of practice in residential aged care and community.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering evidence Occupational assessments, sensory and communication based individualistic treatments including rehabilitation, reablement, pain management and falls prevention interventions

Develop a wellness, rehabilitation and re-enablement based therapy program customised as per resident client needs

Restorative services through referral based model and private billing services within an aged care facility

Falls prevention and education

Development and implementation of individualised OT based reablement programs based on resident specific goals

Conducting comprehensive patient assessment in the community including Home safety assessments, home modifications, equipment assessment and prescription

Driving innovation through creativity and continuous improvement initiatives

Develop individually tailored assessment and person centred activity therapy care programs by selecting and executing appropriate levels of treatment

Guide and supervise a team of therapy/lifestyle assistants.

About You:

Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

NEW GRADUATES WELCOME

Positive can-do attitude,

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

Encouraging a change towards allied health service delivery in residential aged care through rehabilitation and re-enablement programs.

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Knowledge of the Aged Care Act (1997), Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Accreditation Standards & AN-AAC

NDIS screening check, COVID-19, Flu vaccine records & National Police Clearance

Passionate about aged care and desirable to have prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist in community or residential aged care settings

Be physically residing within Australia

Remuneration range between $85 – 95k per annum pro-rata
