Our clients are a full-service financial services firm providing integrated solutions in tax, accounting, financial planning, lending, and superannuation. They are based in Edgecliff and pride themselves on flexible working arrangements (2 days WFH) after training.

Due to continued growth in their SMSF division, they are seeking an experienced and motivated SMSF Tax Manager to lead and manage the SMSF team who look after high-net-worth clients. We are open to Senior Managers applying for this role.

About the Role:

This is a leadership role within their dedicated SMSF team, where you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with Director and manage the SMSF team
• Managing the end-to-end preparation, review, and lodgement of SMSF financial statements and tax returns
• Overseeing a portfolio of SMSF clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory changes
• Providing technical advice and support to clients and team members regarding SMSF tax matters, structuring, and strategies
• Leading, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior accountants in the SMSF division
• Liaising with auditors, the ATO and external stakeholders as required

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in SMSF tax and accounting, ideally looking for a SMSF Specialist
• Must have strong leadership experience
• CA/CPA qualified
• In-depth knowledge of SMSF compliance, SIS legislation and tax implications
• Strong leadership, communication and client relationship skills
