TF Pet Lab Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned innovator and manufacturer of high-performance, plant-based cat litter products. Headquartered and R&D Centre in Cootharaba Queensland, with a purpose-built manufacturing site in Penrith, NSW, our company operates the first domestic production facility in Australia dedicated to tofu-based and enzyme-enhanced natural litter. Our products are formulated using locally sourced agricultural waste such as oat husks and sugarcane bagasse, addressing both pet welfare and sustainability. TF Pet Lab partners with breeders, veterinarians, and leading retailers such as Woolworths, Pet Circle, Swaggle and Budget Pet Products.

Position Overview

The Product Examiner will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining product quality across our cat litter production lines. Working between our R&D centre in Cootharaba and Penrith facility, the role ensures consistency and compliance with internal performance standards and material safety benchmarks.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Examine clumping cat litter products for visible or structural defects, including shape consistency, moisture variation, and packaging integrity, ensuring compliance with relevant industry quality and safety standards.

● Record and classify test results using internal QA documentation systems for traceability.

● Interpret engineering specifications and process drawings related to moisture content, absorption rate, pH tolerance, and ammonia control.

● Approve or reject batches based on laboratory test results, including clump strength, pH level, and ammonia adsorption efficacy.

● Operate and maintain precision test equipment such as analytical balances, pH meters, ovens, and sieves (per IGIA 015-2023).

● Collaborate with production staff to rectify defects, support line performance and prevent repeat non-conformities.

● Maintain calibration records and ensure accurate measurement tools are in use at all times.
