Cost Accountant | Supply Chain Analyst (Hybrid Role)

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic, fast-paced business as a Cost Accountant with a strong focus on supply chain analysis and demand planning. This role blends commercial finance, product costing, and supply chain optimisation to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse sales, financial, and operational data to support decision-making and business performance.
  
  
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and monthly management updates.
  
  
• Allocate and track manufacturing, freight, and landed costs; maintain accurate COGS and standard costs.
  
  
• Conduct variance, margin, and profitability analysis to support pricing and cost-saving initiatives.
  
  
• Forecast demand and optimise inventory using Netstock or similar tools.
  
  
• Liaise with suppliers to manage costs, lead times, and product quality.
  
  
• Oversee inventory reporting, export processes, and supply chain improvements.
  
  
• Provide occasional support to finance and admin teams as needed.
  
  

About You

• Background in cost accounting with experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or a product-based business.
  
  
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to turn data into insights.
  
  
• Confident working across costing, forecasting, inventory, and supplier management.
  
  
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a hands-on, cross-functional role.
  
  
• Experience with inventory or demand planning systems (e.g. Netstock) is a bonus.
