Permanent full-time role available, 76 hours p.f.

- Base salary ranges between $75,090 and $103,261 p.a. (HWF3).
- For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,500… and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,000.

About the role
The Mount Isa Sexual Health team is a multidisciplinary team that works across the North West region delivering culturally safe and effective sexual health services. This position will require outreach visits to Doomadgee, Mornington Island and Normanton to support and facilitate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients to engage with the service.
Participate in sexual health promotion activities and be part of a team that actively contributes to patient safety.
Requirements
- It is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.
- Successful completion of a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Primary Health. If you do not hold the relevant qualification and maybe suitable for the role, you may be appointed at the “No Qualification level (NQ)" for a fixed term, subject to engaging and participating in a learning agreement to obtain the required qualification(s) with essential level support.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check, from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
